Southern Compass Realty LLC is committed to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, familial status, or any other protected class.

The Fair Housing Act

The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. In North Carolina, additional protections also cover age, ancestry, and other characteristics under state law.

What This Means for You

Every client who works with Southern Compass Realty LLC is entitled to the same high standard of service regardless of their background or circumstances. We will never steer clients toward or away from any neighborhood, present false information about a property's availability, or otherwise engage in any practice that violates fair housing law.

Filing a Complaint

If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) at hud.gov or call 1-800-669-9777.
